Some supplications and Ayah that give me hope and strength

1) Feel lost and unsure of where you are heading and destined in Life? 

Don't be. Remember the  supplication of Prophet Noah, during flood and worst of storms when in the Ark, uncertain of when and where it will land...

وَقُل رَّ‌بِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَ‌كًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ‌ الْمُنزِلِينَ

Transliteration : "Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan wa anta khayrul munzileen" (Surah Al-Muminun : 29)

Translation : And say, "'O my Lord, do Thou harbour (land) me in a blessed harbour (destination/landing) , for Thou art the best of harbourers ( Thou art best provider of destination)."

2) Unsure of whether you are entering/exiting from and Want to be firm in any affair you enter or exits of?

Don't be. Pray this prayer. The supplication of Prophet Muhammadh (SAW) when he entered Makkah ( in Makkah Fathaha)

وَقُل رَّ‌بِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِ‌جْنِي مُخْرَ‌جَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرً‌ا


Transliteration : Waqul rabbi adkhilnee mudkhala sidqin waakhrijnee mukhraja sidqin waijAAal lee min ladunka sultanan naseera ( Surah Al-Isra : 80)

Translation : And pray: "O my Lord, let my entry be with honour, and let my exit be with honour, and grant me power from You which would help (sustain) me."

3) Dua to keep guidance of a guided heart

رَ‌بَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَ‌حْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Transliteration : Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana baAAda ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka anta alwahhab (Surah Al Aal-Imran : 8)

Translation : "Our Lord!Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure. 

4) Feel lonely, thinking nobody can help you in your helpless and in darkness?

Don't despair. Allah Says :

اللَّـهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِ‌جُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ‌

Transliteration : Allahu waliyyu allatheena amanoo yukhrijuhum mina alththulumati ila alnnoor (Surah al-Baqarah : 257 )

Translation : Allah is the Wali ( Protector/Guardian and Helper/Ally) of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. 

5) Felt you can't bear a burden/suffering anymore?

 Allah promises :

لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّـهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا 

Transliteration :  La yukallifu Allahu nafsan illa wusAAaha

Translation : On no soul does Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. ( Surah Al-Baqarah : 286)

6) Feel dejected and hopeless? 

Don't be.

Allah asks to pray earnestly to him with Fear and Hope. And promises that His blessing is ever nearer to the good-doers

ادْعُوا رَ‌بَّكُمْ تَضَرُّ‌عًا وَخُفْيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْ‌ضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَاحِهَا وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَ‌حْمَتَ اللَّـهِ قَرِ‌يبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ 

Transliteration : OdAAoo rabbakum tadarruAAan wakhufyatan innahu la yuhibbu almuAAtadeen (55) Wala tufsidoo fee alardi baAAda islahiha waodAAoohu khawfan watamaAAan inna rahmata Allahi qareebun mina almuhsineen ( Surah Al-A'raf : 55-56)

Translation : O mankind! Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Lo! He loves not the aggressors (55). And do not do mischief on Earth after it has been set in order, and call on Him (pray to Him) with Fear and Hope. Surely, Allah's mercy is ever near unto the good-doers 

7) Felt you don't have anyone who can protect you or anyone you can entrust? 

 Shake those doubts. Allah is with us

فَاللَّـهُ خَيْرٌ‌ حَافِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْ‌حَمُ الرَّ‌احِمِينَ

Transliteration : faAllahu khayrun hafithan wahuwa arhamu alrrahimeen ( Surah Al- Yoosuf : 64)

Translation : Allah is the best guardian, and He is the most merciful of the merciful ones

8) Dua of the Companions of the Cave

Allah answered this Dua of the Companion of the Caves. And made them sleep and preserved till the evil tyranny of world they were subjected was wiped off the face of the earth.
 
رَ‌بَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَ‌حْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِ‌نَا رَ‌شَدًا
  
Transliteration :  rabbana atina min ladunka rahmatan wahayyi lana min amrina rashada ( Al-Kahf : 10)
 

Translation : Our Lord! bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose of our affair for us in the right way!

9) Dua of Prophet Ayyoob (a.s)

Prophet Ayoob is an example of Patience. He was subjected to many tests and trials, in which he lost all his worldly possesion, family and even health.But he never failed to Praise Allah. Thus, Allah made him close to him and answered his prayers.
 
 وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَ‌بَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ‌ وَأَنتَ أَرْ‌حَمُ الرَّ‌احِمِينَ

Transliteration :  Waayyooba ith nada rabbahu annee massaniya alddurru waanta arhamu alrrahimeen ( Surah Al- Anbiya : 83)

Translation : And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

10) Dua of Prophet Yoonus (a.s)

 Don't despair if you have committed a wrong. Repent to Allah. He is oft-forgiving and His mercy is ever so near. 
In the Ayah 87, is supplication of Prophet Yoonus (a.s), and the next Ayah 88, promises that with such supplications, he saves the believers.
 
وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ‌ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ أَن لَّا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُنجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ


Transliteration : Watha alnnooni ith thahaba mughadiban fathanna an lan naqdira AAalayhi fanada fee alththulumati an la ilaha illa anta subhanaka innee kuntu mina alththalimeen(87) Faistajabna lahu wanajjaynahu mina alghammi wakathalika nunjee almumineen ( Surah Al- Anbiya : 87-88)
 
Translation : And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.(87) So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers
